Corn Grill At Emory University
We had a really good time cooking veggie burgers and dogs for the Emory University Fair visitors. We initially got to the
site after a bit of confusion, and then had to wait a bit until we got power for the grill. The bands that were playing for the festival were using all the available lines. But once we got juice and fire(our hosts had to find us a flame) we were up and cooking with the corn grill in a matter of minutes.
Lizzie is pictured here cooking on the corn grill. I had started out cooking, but with her short order cooking experience, it just pained her too much to watch me cook. I ended up supplying her with rolls and meat as well as giving my spiel to any one who would listen.
We all ended up with a bad case of sunburn, which would be peeling for the next week or so. I was needing a good base coat for my pale bald head any way.
In addition to cooking a couple hundred burgers and dogs on the corn grill, we got to visit with Lizzie’s brother, who is an Emory Law School Alumni who lives in Atlanta, and has a new baby that Lizzie and I have been meaning to visit. We look forward to next years Earthday festival.
